We are God’s Workmanship

"For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. (Ephesians 2:10)

Well before the blood shed by His Son, God knew His children and their ways. By the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, His children were recreated and renewed in the promises of the Father. As new creations, we are commanded to live in such a way as to bring glory and honor to the Almighty God. May we live in such a way that is worthy of the tremendous sacrifice of Christ as the power of God works through us.
And to DO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Romans 10:4

4 For Christ is the END of the Law [the limit at which it ceases to be, for the Law l_e_a_d_s up to HIM Who is the fulfillment of its types, and in HIM the purpose is fulfilled. That is, the purpose of the LAW is FULFILLED in Him] as the means of righteousness (right relationship to God) for e-v-e-r-y-one who trusts in, adheres to and relies on HIM."

Thoughts

HappyThoughts-300x299Thoughts enter the subconscious part of the mind and are established without our realizing they are there! Hundreds of thoughts pass thru the mind and become foundational to something we will eventually believe or trust in—something that would shock us to even consider, much less believe or trust in, if only we knew. The process occurs subliminally . . . that is, “it operates below the threshold of conscious perception, inadequate to produce conscious awareness but able to evoke a response.”

This function of the human mind explains why meditation in Scripture each day is important: In the same way that a spot light is useful to search for hidden objects, words of Scripture operate like the light like miners looking for precious stones an searching for a lost object. Like that instrument the Word of God searches our thought life to bring attention to wrong thinking that would otherwise remain hidden.

The entrance of God’s Word brings light to our mind and heart, causing unbelief and doubt to be exposed. Unbelief is the category for misguided thoughts; doubt gives formation to unbelief and together, unbelief and doubt produce thoughts that question the Lord – His Word, His ways and most of all, His unquestionable love. The cumulative effect of renegade thoughts and the belief systems they create is, first, a clutter of confusion that muddies discernment, and subsequently, the heart is drawn away from confident trust in God.

Difficult times have the potential to overwhelm us if a deaf ear is turned away from this truth. However, if applied, so that confidence in both the Lord and His Word develop mature, strong faith, we are then strengthened to rise above unbelief and doubts that question God’s love and complete protection for us. “For the word of God is living and active , sharper than any double - edged sword , it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit , joints and marrow. It judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart . Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight.” Everything is uncovered and lay bare before the eyes of God, to whom we must give account.

Amen.

Possessing the Redeemer's Mind

mind of GodI want to share this with you, Ephesians 4: 24 . To put on the New Man ! When you ask Jesus in your Heart, He is in you!
If you read on to the end of Ch. 4 , you will see that now we have to know that you are no longer a sinner, inside you , but we have to Learn how to walk , talk , and act , the Old Man has to be retrained (Colossians 6: 8, here He tells us, now you yourselves are to put off all these things and V.3: 10)

Here is where you can see that the mind needs to be renewed,
now that Jesus is living in “YOU” the Sin is gone! Because the word of God tells us that Christ & the Devil can not live in you because Jesus is in there! So that’s why He tells us we have to retrain all that we have walked in before we came to Christ to take Over our Hearts.

So this, is how we live, and let Jesus. The Holy Spirit does it’s work (Remember We are Learning how to walk in Him, and are we going to make mistakes “YES”). But just know this, He wants us to Win these Battles , and he helps us. So do not allow your self to be a sinner. Just get in the Word and believe God will bring you through!

As Christians, we spend too much time battling basic, elementary battles: "Am I truly saved?" "Am I really forgiven?”

The fact is, God has so much more for us. He seeks to conform our thought-life to the actual thought-life of Christ.

Indeed, the Holy Spirit comes, not just to give us goose bumps and chills, but to restructure our attitudes and perceptions until we think the thoughts of Jesus.

Consider Paul's remarkable insights. He wrote,

"But a natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised. But he who is spiritual appraises all things, yet he himself is appraised by no one. For who has known the mind of the Lord, that he will instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ" (1 Cor. 2:14-16). (We Value the word of God).

This revelation is stunning: we have the mind of Christ. God wants us to have Christ's very discernment.

Or consider again what Paul wrote to the Galatians. He said, "My children, with whom I am again in labor until Christ is formed in you" (Gal 4:19).

Critics will call the revelation of Christ in us a heresy, as though all we were to have was the name, but not the nature of Jesus Christ.

You see, God's goal is not only to see us saved and go to Heaven, but for Christ to be functionally formed and living through us on earth. We are not just to have a religion about what Jesus did; we are called to possess the very substance of who Jesus is.

Yes, it means we indeed will go to Heaven, but it is more. Through our knowledge of Christ's word and the Holy Spirit, the actual person of Jesus Christ, the Redeemer, gains living access to the needs of man. As His body, we give Him flesh and blood contact with this world. True, we face conflicts, but these difficulties are staged by God so He can showcase His Son through us. Indeed, we face persecution, but it's only so Christ, in the midst of injustice, will reveal how His life overcomes death.

Again, Paul wrote,

"For we who live are constantly being delivered over to death for Jesus' sake, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh" (2 Cor. 4:11).

Isn't this exactly what you desire, the "life of Jesus . . . manifested in [your] mortal flesh"? Aren't you tired of the cycle of judging people and then, because of pride, being judged by God in return?

What does it mean to have the mind of Christ? Does that mean we walk on the water or do great signs? Miracles are indeed a part of Christ's life, yet there is something greater than miracles to attain: Our hearts can be filled with the redemptive, creative thought-life of God!(1 Cor.2: 4 , 5 ) And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, (5.) That your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.

Lord, deliver us of our fleshly motives! Free us from our human instincts and fallen passions. Grant us, Lord, the motives of Jesus. Teach us to think, not as a prosecutor whose quest is to condemn, but as the Savior whose heart is to redeem.

WE then, are alienated from Christ & we have fallen from GRACE!

A Line Has Gone Out

There is a fine line for every word we speak, and with each motivation, we produce the fruit of our character. Those around us see who we are, who we are not, and where we draw the line concerning the culture. Our “confession of faith” is not a lone express—rather, with actions and heart we trumpet where our eyes and minds have been.

It matters. Lives are a composite of spirit, soul, and body, plus everything that has ever happened to us, plus our response to those things. The resulting composite depicts a true identity, As Christians we are wise to deliberately submit all of it to the Lord. As we spend time with Him, everything that we have become is mirrored—we see as He sees when we became His ! And what we were before Jesus,*We were judge unrighteous.

There is a spirit line—a “line” created by the heavens and earth, by day and by night, and by the speech and voice they represent. That speaking line “has gone out through all the earth.” The line is spiritual, drawn by their speech—the speech of the heavens and earth, the day and night, including everything in sight.

If creation has a voice, we too have one. The voice you and I have become speaks . . . a separating line that affirms what is of God, covenant, and Kingdom . . . and what is not.

Amen.

Confessions of a Disciple

Writing is a form of confession and what you take time to write is more meaningful than ideas entertained in casual discussion or the privacy of your thoughts. Anything written can be judged when read and with subsequent readings we gain further conviction in favor, or opposition to what has been recorded.

Effective discipleship includes writing or “journaling” things that matter most.  Prayer requests, prayer concerns, thoughts while praying, words the Lord speaks to our hearts throughout the day, and occasions of praise or great joy as well as those of sadness, loss or defeat – these belong in a journal to be tested, believed and integrated into our beliefs or rejected as unworthy for the life of a disciple.

Thoughts come and go, forming patterns of thought; and when thoughts are written, surprising, even extreme, patterns emerge to develop context for who we are—either with strengths and confidence toward God or negatively, with insecurity and fear. Once exposed, our thoughts affirm our biblical admonition with God, or defy it.

Take every thought captive. Write the vision and make it plain.
Amen.

The End is Better

Maturing in faith, we not only gain understanding of situations that affect us and insight for matters we care about, we also receive revelation of the Lord's view of those with wisdom to address them. Very often, because of the revelatory aspect of the Lord's communication.
His speaking to us by his Holy Spirit, we "experience positive outcomes, we could not have otherwise". Often details that were hidden and we didn't know, are unveiled. Jer.29:11- I like this Scripture, it says, "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, Plans to give you hope and a future."
Life in this context reminds us every individual is created to hear and receive special portions from the Lord. Thank God!
Especially now, we have gained unimaginable access to much of what the Lord has in store and interventions by the hand of the Lord that have been revealed, and have uncovered negatives that may actually do us harm.
Because of revelation and insight, wrongs yield to the Lord's positive design. He lays it out, connecting us to the future he has planned. Another critical aspect here is that the Lord reveals and we see as he see. We see more clearly, more accurately. He brings to pass details and timings we simply did not know to factor in before. In light of his revelations passed along to us precisely for this time, our part is to continually declare them to be our objectives and goals, to the end of our faith, because the end is better!
Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things that are not yet done, saying, "My counsel shall stand, and I will do all My pleasure"....
